Destruction of Glasshouse Gallery, Kenwyn Street

The following letter was sent to the editor of the 'West Briton'

‘May I add the support of the Truro Civic Society to the condemnations by Bert Biscoe and Tez Smith of those responsible for the destruction of Glasshouse Gallery in

Kenwyn Street
. We urge that the most rigorous inquiry be instigated by Carrick District Council to establish how such a distinctive building in the city’s Conservation Area suffered such a fate. We also strongly support any action that may be taken against those responsible, even to the extent of having to replace the original building, so that an act of such blatant vandalism does not set a precedent for opportunistic developers in the future.’
